Late night sitting and thinking.
Jay and Jenna spent the night over here tonight. I am at my dad's house.
They are such wonderful kids.
I beat the Minish Cap today. That game was entirely too short, but very very fun.
The Flash #13 comes out tomorrow.
I am sewing tomorrow since I got the sizes from the man that ordered the Ordon Link costume.
I have to sew a collar and some boot covers for Interplanetary tomorrow too.

Do you ever get those times when you are just tired of things being the way they are? I am so ready for a change. Maybe it was just the way I was raised, but I have never been one to hang around after the show was over.

Summer makes me want to just live in the lake or just hit the road and not care where we go, as long as we go to Dallas or Austin. :)

midna cloak

The Midna cloak that I am sewing for a commission I got on the internet is coming along nicely. I had to rework the hood though. I am in the process of sewing in the lining. After that I have to sew down the white details around the sleeves and hood. Starting tomorrow I will begin painting the design on the back. This will probably take the most amount of time considering I can't afford to screw up.
I am really nervous about painting on it though.

I guess I am going to go back to work. I will post some pictures later.

So since my last post, I have sold at least two cosplays. I am making a Midna cloak right now and someone is about to win my Ordon Link on ebay.

I watched a little Reading Rainbow this morning. It has changed some since I was a kid. But one thing has remain untouched: the kids that talk about the books all have stuffy noses. I am unsure if it is a prerequisite to get on the show or if it is just the way they do the sound editing. Maybe they are telling kids that the only children who stay at home and read are snotty nosed dorks.

I remember watching Reading Rainbow when I was a kid and getting very confused as to how LeVar Burton got back down to earth once a week and temporarily regained sight just in time to do a kids show. I used to watch Star Trek: the Next Generation with my dad. I can't count the number of times I would put one of those hard plastic headbands over my eyes and say something like:"Who knows if we're even dead or alive?"


Of course I was a far cry from a adult black man.

More on The Flash front, issue 13 has been pushed back to come out on the 20th of this month. I am dying to read it. That will take about 5 minutes and then I'll be antsy for it to be July. Is this any way to live my summer?

Opportunity says cha-ching!

So I am thinking that maybe this cosplay thing would work more when people start paying me. So far I have had about 9 offers for commission work. No one has put the money up yet. This means in my little business brain that I have no commissions yet. I am just mildly afraid that I am going to get swamped with 80 commissions at once.
Who am I kidding? I would love that!

I am going tomorrow to Birmingham with the fabuloso Lee Fanning to his aunt and uncle's surprise 50th anniversary party. I think this may be a hard surprise to pull over on them since they are probably well aware that it is their 50th anniversary and their kid is coming in from Texas to see them for what they were told would be a lake trip.

Oh well, only little kids and television characters are really surprised at these things anyway.

Christen and I are going to the bridal fair at Burningtree on Sunday Lord willin' if the creek don't rise.
I am excited. I haven't gotten to spend time with her in forever and she just up and called me on Thursday. I miss her. I think we had better start hanging out if we are going to do it. It has to be before we get married and pompous and boring.

That bathroom cleaner smells really good.

Lee and I picked up about 30 flash comics today that someone had sold to our local comic book store and since they had a little crease in the cover, they landed in the $1 bin. That doesn't bother us any. We are slowly creeping to having all the Flashes.

They had better not kill off Bart or I will be upset.
I have been promoting my cosplay work like crazy. I only meet with approval and awe and not cash thus far.
I like cash better.

I am selling this puppy for $85. It is almost finished...

I am going to be very upset if Bart dies off this early. I just saw the poster or is it the cover for The Flash #13? I know it is a continuation of the Countdown series they have running now, but if they kill Bart. I am going to be a little upset.
I have also heard rumors that they may bring Wally back and then kill him. At first I heard that it was Barry. Heck, any of those would make me mad. I like believing that Wally and Linda and their babies were absorbed by the speed force. Now the speed force is living inside of Bart which explains why he is haunted by their ghosts. So how can it be Wally or Barry? Why would it be Bart? He just got his series up and running.
Issue #13 is coming out soon. We will see if we have one disappointed Peyton or not
